Campaign/Setup Notes The story begins in Umbrava, an old medieval town once known for its simple folk... washerwomen, chefs, and drunkards. But Umbrava carries a terrible curse: it is the chosen battleground of the Timeless War, an eternal conflict between two nameless gods, one of Light, one of Shadow. The Curse of Umbrava: Each generation, the gods’ feud reignites. At dawn, the forces of good awaken... townsfolk, travelers, and any who resist the dark. At dusk, evil rises from the fog, as demons and corrupted souls take to the streets. The war continues until one side is completely wiped out... either all demons are destroyed, or all mortals fall to the curse. Only then will the Timeless War end, and the victor will decide the fate and history of the world. This Generation’s Conflict: In the first cycle of the war, a cunning Imp demon emerges as the spark of evil. Small but dangerous, it can pass its demonic essence to others upon death, spreading corruption like a plague. Alongside the Imp moves the Marionette... a mortal who believes themselves righteous, but is secretly manipulated by the demon’s will. The Objective: The people of Umbrava must uncover and destroy the demonic presence before darkness overtakes the town. If the Imp and its influence are not stopped, evil will claim the first victory in the Timeless War... and the curse will deepen for the next generation.

Game 1 Notes

The light prevailed once, and the streets of Umbrava ran clear of shadow.
The Imp was executed, the Spy unmasked, the Scarlet Woman burnt beneath the holy flame. And the Monk’s faith held strong through three long nights.
Good triumphed, but so did some noble warriors. A washerwoman who sacrificed themselves for a Virgin and a Soldier dying a Martyr. Regardless, for a moment, the dawn seemed eternal.

But peace is a lie in the Timeless War.
From the silence beneath the town, something ancient stirs,
tentacles scraping the stone, voices calling from drowned halls.
Evil rises again, wearing new faces: the No Dashi, the Kazali, the Fearmonger, and the Godfather.
And in answer, the light gathers once more new warriors - the Bounty Hunter, the Sailor, the Pacifist.

The bells of Umbrava toll again.
The depths have awakened…
and the second war begins.”
